Did you know CM has an Entity ID search?

CM’s new Entity ID search

If you’ve logged into Consultation Manager recently, you may have noticed an extra column with numbers pop up in your Search grid, as well as in some other areas around the system.

These may just look like random numbers, but trust me, you’re going to grow to love them as much as we do.
These numbers are what we refer to as ‘Entity IDs’. Basically, they’re a unique identifier for each entity in the system.

How can this benefit me?

Removes ambiguity

How many John Smith’s do you have in your system? If you wanted a colleague to add some data against one John Smith profile in particular, would you be able to easily explain which one it is without needing to add other information as well? If you needed Support to help you with one Event in particular, could you easily point us to it? With these Entity IDs, you can quickly and easily identify which profile you’re referring to. No more scrolling through a dozen John Smith’s!

Stakeholder satisfaction

This number doesn’t only identify unique Stakeholders. Each Event in the system has its own unique number as well. If a Stakeholder asks for a reference number of your conversation with them, you can give them this number to relay in any future interaction.

How do I use it?

Search

If you have an Entity’s number, you can search directly for it!

All Entity’s now have this search feature to be able to locate the specific profile you’re after. Simply pop in the ID number to find them.

See what’s new

We’ve had the question come up where users want to know what recent Stakeholders, Events etc. have been added most recently. Simply clicking on the column header* will sort the list in ascending or descending order.

*Just in case you’re wondering, this also does work for any other header in the search screen. Want your Stakeholders Alphabetised by first name? You got it.

Speaking of what’s new…

Help us figure out what’s new to CM. We’re always looking at ways to improve, and where there’s enough demand for a change, we will definitely do our best to facilitate it. At CM we are continually tracking feedback and requests from clients about new features. We are really passionate that CM remains easy to use, so we juggle new feature requests whilst making sure we’re not over complicating things.

Entity ID’s are just one of those little system features we’ve rolled out after hearing from so many clients that something like this would benefit them. So please reach out to us if you have an idea that may make your job a bit easier, email us at support@consultationmanager.com or call 1300 850 058.

We make sure to let everyone know of our newest features and updates during our monthly newsletter.

Of course, if you need something a little extra special, we’re always happy to work with you to see what magic we can weave for you.

Be sure to tune in to next month’s Did you know blog post when we’ll be looking at ways to customise your Dashboard so you see what you need to see when you first log in.
